Fullerton Train Museum
You feel like you are making a visit back in time at the Fullerton Transportation Center and have a chance to view outstanding trains. A tour is FREE with only a suggested donation of one dollar per person! One of the memorable cars is the 1929 "Red Caboose".
There are even activities for the kids; and their cafe prices are, for example, a "sandwich" for $0.70, "orange juice" for $0.30, and dessert for $0.15.
The Children's Museum at La Habra
There are seven galleries and 14 exhibits that are hands-on in this older museum that is reminiscent of the early 1990s and is filled with art and science activities. Each room has a different interactive theme including dinosaur bones, dressing up, playing in a play kitchen, and much more that is educational and lots of fun for the little ones as they get to use their imaginations. There are also carousel rides every half hour.
Muckenthaler Cultural Center
This is in a large stunning Spanish Colonial Revival style historic mansion in Orange County built in 1925. It is the perfect setting for a beautiful wedding with a vintage feel. The food is delicious by Colette's Catering, and the venue is a pretty backdrop for photos. The smaller rooms are dedicated to the history of the house, and the larger rooms display rotating artwork. Open daily from noon to 4:00 PM, and the gallery is FREE. Be sure to walk around the grounds and see the rose garden.
Fullerton Loop Mountain Bike and Hiking Trail
One of California’s most popular all-level mountain biking loops, this mid-level beautiful urban mountain biking trail has views of the gorgeous lake and homes. It is an easy moderately flat 11+ mile loop around downtown with lots of variation in the terrain.
Leisurely walkers and beginning and mid-level cyclists also frequent this city recreation area. There is plenty of shade, and it is even a dog-friendly trail.
If you don’t want to complete the trail, you can take one of the shortcut paths to return to the start. Enjoy the fun atmosphere in a luxury party bus or limo and relax as a professional chauffeur handles the driving.
